We consult

We invite natural and legal persons to contact us if they wish to consult on the laws and other legislation in force in Lithuania related to various environmental issues*.

We provide advice on:

  • waste management and wastewater issues;
  • wildlife, hunting, fishing, and other wildlife protection issues;
  • drinking water, rules for driving watercraft in bodies of water, management and creation of bodies of water;
  • air pollution and agricultural activities;
  • forest protection and green spaces;
  • environmental taxes.

* The Department is not authorized to officially interpret laws or other legislation and application thereof, therefore we provide the opinion of the Department’s specialists on the issue raised in the inquiry. Department does not verify the data provided, the response is prepared based on the data provided. If a person provides additional information about specific factual circumstances not specified in the inquiry, the content of the Department’s consultation may change as well. The consultation is provided in accordance with the legislation in force on the date of its provision and cannot be considered a decision of the Department in a specific situation.
