Textile waste
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Disposal of other waste (information in Lithuanian)

Textile waste is waste that is difficult to recycle. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the useful life of textiles as much as possible, and to sort textile waste responsibly.
Containers for textile waste
✅ Clothing, footwear, handbags, belts, curtains, bedding, and stuffed toys can be thrown into bins for textile waste. Items must be placed in bags. Dirty or wet textile waste should be tightly packed in a package that is impermeable to water and other liquids.
❌ Diapers, books, magazines, cardboard boxes, glass containers, plastic packaging, stuffed toys with integrated electronic components (cells, etc.) and textiles contaminated with chemicals must not be disposed of in these bins.
❌ Even packaged textile waste cannot be left near the bin; textile waste must be thrown into the bin.
Bulky waste collection points
✅ All types of textiles, including carpets, pillows, blankets, upholstered furniture parts, child car seats, car seats, and other parts, can be delivered to bulky (large sized) waste collection points.
✅ Oiled, chemically contaminated textile waste, as hazardous waste, as well as toys with integrated electronic components (classified as electronic waste, more detailed information on how to handle this type of waste can be found here) must be delivered to bulky waste collection points.
